Acupuncture Treatment Process

  1. Make an appointment

Please make a reservation through our online booking site before your visit. If this is your first appointment, kindly write your main concern in the comment section when booking. Depending on your condition, we may recommend that you consult a medical professional first.

2. Arrival at the Clinic

Please arrive at 661 Main Road, Stoke (in front of between Z Stoke and McCashins) at your scheduled appointment time. You are welcome to park on the property. There are a few parking spaces available in front of the house.
As we have only one treatment room, if the sign "Treatment in Progress" is displayed, kindly wait for a moment on the chair outside.

3. Consultation

For first-time visitors, you will be asked to fill out a health questionnaire and sign an informed consent form.
Based on the health questionnaire, we will begin by confirming your main symptoms and then ask about any other concerns you may have.
At our clinic, we don't just treat the illness or injury—we treat the whole person. To address the root cause of your symptoms, we may ask a wide range of questions, including those related to diet, digestion, sleep, menstrual cycle, and sources of stress etc.

4. Examination & Acupuncture Treatment

4. Examination & Acupuncture Treatment

From an Eastern medicine perspective, we will diagnose by examining the color of your face and tongue, key acupuncture points on your hands and feet, pulse, abdomen, and back. From a Western medicine perspective, we will perform manual tests and range-of-motion assessments etc.

The treatment may include acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, moxibustion (heat treatment), shiatsu massage and cupping, all tailored specifically to each individual.

All needles used are sterile, single-use disposable needles, ensuring no risk of infection. The skin is also cleaned with alcohol before needling to maintain hygiene and safety.
Moxibustion (heat treatment) Moxa smoke is generally considered safe when used in normal amounts, as it is made from natural mugwort leaves. However, we understand that some individuals may be sensitive to smoke or scents, so we ensure good ventilation and also offer smokeless options for their comfort.
