ABOUT

Hello, my name is Yui. I moved from Kobe, Japan to New Zealand in 2019. I have seven years experience as an acupuncturist.

As a teenager, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition which resulted in me temporarily stopping the sports I enjoyed. This experience instilled a deep interest in the root causes of illness, especially those that Western medicine doesn’t always fully address. This curiosity became the driving force that set me on a path to pursue a career in acupuncture.

Through study and clinical practice I developed a strong understanding of the strengths of both Western and Eastern medicine, I use a combination of both styles to optimize my treatments. I work with a variety of patients, from athletes to individuals with internal health concerns.
I believe my greatest strength lies in my sincere connection with each patient, attention to detail and genuine respect.

I was drawn to New Zealand for its beautiful landscapes and relaxed pace. In my non-clinical time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and husband. I also love hiking and watching soccer.
